For my project, I did a Lynda.com course on Keynote for Educators. It went through why teachers should use Keynote if they have an IOS product, like I do, and how to use action buttons for an interactive tool. Also, it went over how to use Keynote for a flipped classroom, or teaching outside classroom hours and reinforcing activities during class time, with the feature of being able to record yourself over slides to create a short video. Finally, the video went over how students can use Keynote, with using it to assess students through presentations or having them create a flipped classroom lesson themselves. Overall, this course taught me some features Keynote that I can use on my laptop as a future educator and why it is an effective educational tool.

Hmmm I've never heard of Keynote, but it sounds awesome! I'd have to try it out because, even though I love Microsoft Office, PowerPoint has always been annoying for me to use. And I may have used Prezi maybe once in my life. Thanks for sharing! Definitely will check it out now that I know!
ReplyDeleteHey! I like how this lynda was about keynote, because we learned how to do some of the same things in powerpoint, but now i know keynote has the same things. Also i agree with what you said in the beginning about lectures being necessary in a class but its important that teachers invove some type of activity element.
ReplyDeleteHey Elizabeth! I too did my first ILP using Lynda.com. I enjoyed your VoiceThread and I can tell that you have learned a lot using this tool.
ReplyDeleteNot only is Lynda a great resource but so is Keynote. As an Apple employee I work with Keynote a lot with my customers. Using it as a classroom resource is such a great tool. It is very similar to powerpoint but has amazing applications
